IGOR also offers you a wonderful new story about a chinese monk called Yunguang and it goes like this:
The Yuhua stone, Rainflower Stone, is a special type of stone found in the Yangtze River in Nanjing region of China.
According to legend, the Yuhua stones go back to the Chinese monk called Yunguang, who lived during the Liang Dynasty (502-557).
His travels as a preacher also took him to Nanjing, where he spread his teachings for three days without eating or drinking.
Moved by this sincerity, the gods transformed the raindrops into thousands of colorful flowers, which turned into equally colorful stones as they hit the ground. Hence the name “Rain Flower Stones”.
Today the Rainflower Stone Festival is still celebrated in the region. Nature's colorful polished art pieces are popular lucky charms among collectors.
